Special edition 2018 V90 Cross Country sales to aid Ocean Race Science Program

Protecting our Oceans has long been a key concern of environmental programs. The Volvo Ocean Race measures the health of our Oceans by taking measurements of the temperature, algae and weather patterns. Volvo will support the effort of the Volvo Ocean Race Science program by producing 3,000 special edition 2018 V90 Cross Country vehicles with a portion of the sale price to be donated.

"We're proud to support the Volvo Ocean Race's Science Program which will help improve our understanding of the health of the oceans – our greatest natural resource," said Stuart Templar, Director of Sustainability at Volvo Cars. "As a company, we work to minimize our impact on the world around us, so this project's innovative approach to tackling a major environmental problem was a great fit for us - not least as we head towards an electric future."

The Crystal White V90 Cross Country Ocean Race edition will have bright orange and black matte accents. The interior carpets will be made from 100 percent recycled nylon, including abandoned fishing nets.

Volvo will donate approximately $116 for each of the special edition V90s sold with a total donation of nearly $350,000. Volvo of the Village in Cincinnati is proud of our efforts to help the environment. For more information or to schedule a test drive, contact one of our staff members.
